buddy bought a 1300 with fairing awesome idea inside

A green way to make sure that radio is wet safe... btw it was burned out when he bought it.


wow... all I can say. lots of putty around the riv-nuts I HOPE he doesnt run into more
of these cobble jobs on the 2003 1300.

Funny, and yet NOT. That's definitely an interesting use for an oil/antifreeze container, though. Not something I would do, though, to "waterproof" the radio.

Not a bad idea considering what manufacturers consider a marine or weather resistant radio. For most of them they are nothing but a standard car radio with clear plastic tape of the top of it.

'04 1300S or at least used to be.
