VTX 1800 Top Speed

I have not yet had the opportunity to get it up over 100. I don't like the idea of zipping in and out of traffic. Anyone know how fast it will go?

around 140, give or take 10mph depends on weight, shields, bags, drag, weather etc...

I took mine to 120 and was nearly blown off the bike by the wind blast. It definitely had more in the tank.

I can barely hang on at 90, cant imagine trying to hold on to the bars much above that speed....................I guess a shield would fix that

Top Speed

I have gotten mine to 130 a few times and didn't have any real problems with stability or wind but then I was tucked down which may have been made easier with the drag bars. I was surprised at how well it did run at that speed. First cruiser...last bike was a Suzuki 1000 sport bike and hit 150 couple times...this bike is much more comfortable to ride, especially for more than an hour.

I had mine to 110 no problem. It still had alot left. That was riding 2 up! The girl that was with me is use to riding crotch rockets. She coudn't belive how smooth it was. The windshield does help alot. I can't amagen without it.

I had mine to about 115 and still pulling away like a freight train. I'm no small dude either.

I can't "amagen" any respectable person exposing another human being to what would be almost certain death if something would just hiccup at 120 mph. But then "amagen" that.
