I notice sometimes when riding my hands go a little numb I think its because of how the bars are set.I figure if I can roll them down a bit that would solve the problem.
Loosen the 4 riser cap screws. Have an extra set of hands there to hold the bars lest they roll fast and slam onto the top of the tank.
Then, when you find this won't help at all with the shoulders, buy a set of C model risers or a set of 4 inch pullback risers for R models. This is what most R/S/T models owners do to help with the pain/numbness
Yep, risers is the correct answer. I had the same problem with my 2002 R when I bought it. Changed the risers to those from a stock C and problem solved.
I have been following this thread with much interest. I have a 2007 1800-T, and I would like to look at doing the same thing to mine. Here's a question - what is the difference (and pros & cons) of the "C" risers vs. the 4" extensions for the "R"???
Thanks, in advance. I can't believe how much I have learned since I have joined this forum!!!
