Hypercharger Cover Change

Has anyone tried changing the cover of the hypercharger pro back to the basic hypercharger?

The pro has a solid cover, but the basic one has a removable centre circle that there are nice LED inserts that can be added.

My bike has the pro but none of my few friends has a basic hypercharger nor do the local wreckers to try it out.

here is what I want to add to my attached pic of my existing hardware. http://www.kuryakyn.com/products/376...ty-streamliner

Most users here smarter than me that may possibly have suggestions

My solution was putting a LED light inside the Hypercharger housing.

Inside!! Of course!! I ran a roll of the StreetGlo following the seam inside the edge of the tank, as shown in the attached pictures (have since illuminated the rear tire). But as you can see, the left side is all blue and pretty and the right side not so much. So adding light inside the charger is awesome idea. Hmm I want more light onto the bottom of the right side too.. maybe run the string light across the inside of open hole on the bottom of the charger?!?!

Been trying to think of a way to illuminate that fully without seeing the strip or pods. Best I had so far was a short strip on the outside underside of the charger. \Then off to find slotted spark plug covers (saw once, cant find again) and put pods behind those then my coloring is done.

Edited. found more pics with the back tire illuminated. Has hardbags on but looks better than no light IMHO. Sorry of the pics are doubled

Yes, one on teh inside of the cover shining towards the engine so it will shine off the butterflies. Then add another to the bottom of the Hyper run the wire through the drain hole. Inside of the swingarm lights the wheel up nice too

I wanted to do this with red and orange lights hooked up to my spark plug wires so the go off each time that spark plug fires. I think that would badass.

That would be illegal. You can't have blinking red or blue lights on any vehicle while it is moving.

How do you have the lights run on the inside of the charger? I imagine the one for emphasizing the butterflies, could be either a strip light or a pod and is affixed to the back cover just infront of the filter facing the front cover? Did you make a bracket to attach the lights to to span the gap on the underside of the charger so that the most light shines out and it doesnt droop thru the hole? Strip light I would assume on the bottom. Could you possibly PM me a pic with the front cover off?

Thanks in advance
