2005 Honda VTX 1300C Oil Filter Replacement Cross Reference?

I know I saw this somewhere, but can somebody point me to a cross reference listing of replacement oil filters for the Honda 15410-MCJ-003 that goes on the 2005 Honda VTX1300C? I'm trying to find it at a local store instead of going to the Honda dealer and paying for the name instead of the performance.

Thankz, Take Carez and Laterz,

Oil filter......

NAPA part #1365 FIL or #FIL 1365
Bosch part #3323
WIX part #51356

I know the NAPA is about 2/3 the cost of stealer.
Good Stuff.

mobil 1 filter is a little pricy, but you get what you pay for, excellent filter, combine it with some mobil one synthetic or some amsoil and your good to go for 5000 to 6000 miles.

C-Spike has a good link. This one has a view of the internals of many filters. http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/FilterStudy.html
I have opened up an OEM and a SL14612 filter. Page 3,4 of my BigBikes

Is there an advantage using M1-108 vs M1-110 Mobil one?? I use the 110 and saw that the 108 fits too, but its smaller by about an inch. Anything differnt in there worth noting, or is it just the fact that its a smaller filter, but everything inside is the same. I read on the package that the 110 has an advantage because it can hold and filter twice the amount as other filters.

I use the 110 with Rotella 5W-40 Synthetic oil.

The M1-110 is better , more filter media...

Hey Dude! The filters listed above WILL, indeed, fit your "X", however, the correct filter that matches OEM is the NAPA 1358, WIX 51358, Carquest 85358, etc. The ones y ou listed above are a little longer and may cause some "fitment" problems.

NAPA and Carquest filters are manufatured by the folks at WIX. Notice the similarity of the last three digits in the part numbers?

A cool thing to consider is "Nominal micro rating". That's the size of particles the filter will trap. Smaller is better.

WIX 51358 has a Nominal Micro Rating of 14.
WIX 51356 has a Nominal Micro Rating of 19.

Think I'd stick with the equivilent to the WIX 51358 for my scoot.

Regards

Jim
