$300 for pink wall tires...

Put new WWWs on the bike this weekend. While I have the wheels off I need to clean and polish the rims, so I bought some Meguiars Hot Rims mag cleaner and polish. After putting a nice shine on the front rim I clean the white walls and to my shock every place the polish touched the white walls it was a really nice blush pink! I spent the next several hours and every product I could think of trying to get the pink color out. I finally got to the point where it wasn't as bright and gave up. Now you really don't notice it unless you look very closely so I suppose I can live with it. The Meguiars Hot Rims did a nice job....just DON'T get it anywhere around white wall tires!!

If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.

I suppose you should call McGuiars and see what they recommend for bleaching the walls to white again. I have a hard time trusting anyone who smiles as much as that McGuiars guy does; he's got to be up to something!

Try Westley's Bleche White or maybe some Clorox Spray Cleaner.

My WWW tires remained blue for a couple of weeks, but all that stuff weathered off.
