I have a Krator Dyna Flash Safety Flasher brake light module. It has a red and a black lead for both in and out for a total of four leads. I understand how to hook up the red leads, but I'm not sure what to do with the two black leads. Do they both go to ground? Thank you for your help!
Since you are "opening" a circuit of "Hot and Ground" wires, connect the input wires to the harness side and the output wires to the taillight.
You never know if the switching in the device is done on Hot lead or the ground lead. Green/Yellow = +12v Brake wire, Green is Ground.
Access to the Brake wires are in the right frame cover in a rubber cover
tie-wrapped to the frame.
A follow-up question. I'm installing an led brake light, so I need to install a resister. I'm not sure where to install it. I understand they generate a lot of heat. How about on the rear fender under the seat? Thank you for your help!
I believe you are confusing a load resistor on a Turn Signal circuit that is using leds
which flashes faster with Leds than a bulb. OEM flashers are load sensitive.
A 12volt Led brake light needs no resistor.
If it does not have a "Taillight" function then a low resistance value resistor(150 or 220 ohms)
and a diode could make the Brake light dual function.
Hi, I was just reading through. I just received my Dyna Flasher safety flasher brake light module. I was not sure where to begin but this answered my question. . Thanks guys
