Riding in Southeast Alabama (report)

I had a day off and a few counties I needed for a particular geocache challenge, so I took my first motorcycle trip through the Southeastern part of my state.

I stopped in the town of Union Springs to take a photo of the field dog statue

Then made my way to Eufaula which is home to some beautiful Antebellum residences

Once you cross the lake you are in Georgia

I traveled south and then westward going through more and more increasingly rural areas, so here are a few things I encountered along the way

OK, where was that Standard fuel station? Nice photos.

That is in Abbeville which is just south of Eufaula in Henry County. The Standard Oil station was restored and is now the headquarters for Great Southern Wood. The Yella Fella has restored other buildings in town such as Huggin' Molly's restaurant and a theatre, I believe.

Cokerb, I do own that book and have used it to plan other trips.
