Again thanks for the info. My plans have changed slightly, I'm gonna leave a little early, ride to Springfield (about 7 hrs) then spend the night and then ride the last 4 hrs the next day. Spend a couple of days in Memphis then ride home...single day ride...I'm guessing my ars is going to hurt by the time I get home.
I am looking for a windshield now. I have installed new plugs and a oil change along with diff fluid change. I also should have a K&N installed within the week. I have a good leather coat, good gloves, nice helmet, riding boots. By the time I leave I will have a phone charger installed, and set of rain gear. I doubt that a set of saddle bags will happen, but I have a pack that I can put on the rear seat for my stuff. I may try putting my i-pod and skull kandy in my helmet. I also will start doing longer rides before I go.
Any thing else you would recommend for this adventure? I've seen some "cruise control" that slips onto the handle grips and just holds it in place. Any thoughts on them?
Thanks again!

I have something similar, works good for short breaks! Get a good tire repair kit with a way to inflate tire.

Place nothing in rear pockets of pants.
No seams near the butt cheeks on any item of clothing.
