I am asking for your thoughts and prayers of support for 20 year old Matt Maupin of Willowville, Ohio who's convoy was attacked last Friday in Iraq. Matt and one other soldier are missing in action. The Clermont County Armed Forces Support Group will hold a candlelight vigil in support of the Maupin family and all armed forces overseas at 8:00 PM tonight (4/15). In addition, The Board of County Commissioners, the Veteran's Service Commission and The Clermont County Convention and Visitor's Bureau will pay tribute to the American troops stationed in Iraq and show support for Matt and the Maupin family at 7:00 PM Friday night (4/16) at teh Clermont County Courthouse on Main Street in Batavia.
I will be riding to the vigil tonight. If anyone in the area wants to join me please meet at the Sam's Club off Clepper Lane at 7:30 PM.
