I'm taking off around the 1st of 2nd of AUG from Whidbey Is. Meeting my dad there for a few days. He will be coming from the east. Heading back some time late the next week. I'm looking to take a northern route there and a southern route back. Post replys if interested.

Hey Rota Rider!!

I too am planning on riding to Sturgis this year and I am starting from Whidbey Island!

I hadn't really made up my mind which day I was gonna start out, but definitely around the first 3 or 4 days of Aug!

We need to meet up. I'm flexable as well on the dates. I need to add a few comfort items. The bike is stock for now, haven't had the time. Don't want to turn it into a touring bike though. I have plans of a hotrod after I move AGAIN this year!

For the ride to Sturgis and just to ride!

I almost have my bike "comfortable" for long rides. I just need to add highway pegs and saddlebags and I'll be ready!

Then again... I want to make my bike a comfortable cruiser instead of a hotrod!

I'm leaving on Friday the 4th also. Does your club have a place to stay or are anyone in your group interested is renting a house in Sturgis together? I have my sights on a house in Sturgis that sleeps 7 for $500 per night. It has 2.5 baths with a 2 car garage that will also hold 7 bikes.

My wife and I are leaving on the 7th. We have several stops to make on the way so maybe I will see you guys there. My 40th class reunion is just abut 4 hours away so that is the real reason I am going back. And yes I am old.

Can't do both together though. Reunion the end of June in Indiana. Yep- riding back.
