Does anyone locally have the Hardbags?
Preferrably the Tsukayu Strong colormatched bags.
I am really debating on getting these or not. I love the look and I was thinking of getting the primer ones and checking on some local shops to do the color matched paint. I was hoping it would be cheaper than $350 to paint the bags to match my bike?
Any thoughts or ideas...thanks
ALSO, What do you guys think about these?

as for them pegs..i can see ya dragging 'em ALOT. I drag my boards twice just leaving the neighborhood. As far as bags go, wait'll ya see my bike...lemme know THEN. Nicely sized, and cheap. E-bay purchase from Custom Cycle Gear on ebay. 150 delivered. And my local shop paints them for under 2 hungie...Now get ur butt over to Penn Hills to see Mom on Mothers day, a nd pick up these pipes.....I wont be home, but I'll leave them outside the garage. If ya like 'em, Paypal me. Still got my cell phone #??

lol....yes I do have your cell phone number. However, when I call you I do not feel comfortable saying..."Hi is Alauth56 there" Sorry, I cant put your name with your username...lmao
I sent Thrill a pm with the info and I am not sure if he still is interested, but I will definitely be out that way on Mommy day so I will call, and if I am the one buying I will pick them up. Heck I could still probably picl them up for Wendall if he wants, he lives WAY FAR AWAY from PH!
Now $150 shipped for your bags and you like them...you have my interest sparked! and 2 bills to paint WOW! I could end up with a pretty good deal at $350 instead of $800.
But, even if I like the Tsukayu ones better, your shop could still paint them for me for the $200 and that would save me $150....
BAGS are a necessity for me, and I cant believe I do not have them yet, but I plan on doing this sometime this SUMMER!
Thanks, I will check out yer bags!

Operation Pipes is complete :D
I left you a present...lol I did peek in the garage and your bags look nice. I guess I would like to see them babies opened up to see what kind of room we are looking at. I believe the Tsukayus are a little larger, but $449 compared to $150...that is a major decision.
Those pipes look a lot like stock retro pipes? Did you say they were LOUD
I will be in touch with Thrill this week and you should receive payment one way or another.
Thanks Al.
ps. thanks for the steel wool backup :P

ya left me a present??
Yes, those pipes looked exactly stock, and yes, they be LOUD.
The bags, when opened are only 2 inches shorter in length than the stock OE bags. Same depth and heigt. They hold a rainsuit, an backup jacket, a small quart container for gas emergencys, and some tools(in 1 side) You COULD stuff them fuller, but the door tends to bulge. I like them. Same company that made my tour-pak.

Hey Jimmerz- Did you ever look into those flip out pegs? Just curious if they would indeed drag like Al said. I would think they would as well? Wondering if anyone has any experience with them? Kewl idea though? Thanks!

Yeah I looked into it but that was about it. They didnt make any specific for our bikes but the guy said to buy the ones for the Yamaha and they should fit...anytime I hear "should" I usually stay away. I told him to get some that will Definitely fit and I will re-think it.
I did like the idea, but I will end up with crash bars and foot pegs down the road.
I just put the passenger relocators on for my wife and she said it is already more comfy, now all I need is the passenger floorboards and she should be happy for a while?

Not to sure if you have looked in to the Lindby Bars or not? I bought them toward the end of the season last year and kinda like em. I find that my knees are a lil to bent for comfort, but it will all depend on your size I guess? Thing that really got me was that they are SOLD as a "Crash Bar" But there is a wee lil ole sticker on them when you pull em from the box that says in a nut shell that they are NOT designed to be a crash bar? I may wind up going another route for pegs this summer? Just my 2 cents.

Jimmerz,
I've had my Tsukayu Strongs for a little more than a year, and I'm quite happy with them. They are a good size & come with brackets that keep them close to the rear fender, so I don't really notice their size or weight when fully loaded while riding, in that I can still maneuver very easily. Since last year, they've changed the latches to something much better than what tthey came with when I got mine. Check out my link below for pictures. I think you'll like them.

Thanks! The pics look great and I definitely like the look of these bags!! They just came out with their own Trunk as well, with a nice looking backrest pad. I am just not sure if I am ready to add the trunk yet? But the bags are gonna happen!
Thanks for the info
