hey everyone, My name is Wes and i just got a 05' 1300. I am a new rider and i absolutly love it. I realize everybody has different thoughts on these subjects. But i am looking for the best ride possible.
Pipes: What are your thoughts on the Hard Krome 3" Straights. I love the look but i havent heard them at all. is there another pipe that doesnt blue that looks/sounds better.
Seat: I like the look of the Wide Mustang but is Corbin a much better feel. I see that it cost more. Does that mean its better? Whats the big difference.
Where are the Great Places to Ride: I live in the Chelsea/280 area and i would love to hear where the best places to ride are around here.

Welcome aboard the X and the VTX board.
You are in the right area for riding. Check out Hwy 25 from Hwy 280 to Leeds. Stop in at 29 Dreams Motorcycle Resort along the way. 8)
I've got about 14,000 miles on a Corbin Dual Touring seat with backrest. I love the styling and the fit. :D Opinions vary....
If you like the looks of the stock exhaust, but want more sound, checkout vtxexhaust.com  opinions vary....

I got lost out there a 2 weeks ago and i tell you what if you gonna get lost some where on a X thats the place to do it. Hwy 25 really is a great road but i tell you what you you really do have to watch out for that hairpin turn right after 29 dream. Where else is great riding? When do riders get together?

HK 3's are very loud. I did the sink strainer mod on mine and I think they sound perfect now. I also have a set of JC Whitney slip ons that will fit up inside of them that supposedly will tone them down even more, but I haven't tried them yet.

Welcome aboard!
I have the mustang with driver's backrest and vance & hines pipes. I know the mustang is huge improvement over stock. I have been very happy with mine. The V&H pipes sound great without blasting my eardrums open.
I hope to see you at 29 dreams some weekend very soon. It is very laid back with good food and lots of hot bikes!
