June 1 2006 - Update on the WAVTX BBQ

Ok folks wanted to give you all an update!

As of today June 1, 2006 there are only 43 more days before the Great WAVTX BBQ!

Come on Guys and Girls lets get this BBQ going. The more the merrier! It should be a great time.

Getting together with fellow enthusiast should be reason enough, but if not here are a couple of other points to ponder…

Roddo and his Famous BBQ will be served on Saturday July 15th, 2006!

The “Lava Love Run to the Sun” Motorcycle Rally is scheduled for the same weekend. It’s about 40 miles away.

Last year on July 15th the low temp was 60.8 an the high was 87.8 with 10+ mile visibility and no precipitation……

In 2004 it was a low of 70 and a high of 100.9 DEGREES…..

As of 06/01/06 we have 25 people paid for.

We can do better than that folks.

Remember if you pay before June 30, 2006 you it’s only $20.00 per Adult. After that it goes to $25.00 per Adult.

So lets get it going… and I can hear you say…. "Gosh, where can I send my money to get in on this great time?"

Just a silly Q? I have made my own reservation for an RV spot. We are going over early and staying a week. Want to do some extra fishing and riding. So I need to pay for the BBQ for the wife and I. Is there a cost difference if we are not using the tent area? If you can't break it down or it is a problem for the records, I understand and will gladly send you the $40? Thanks for you efforts! It is a great spot, :shock: We visited it over Memorial weekend!!!! Looking forward to the hot weather!!! Ed & Leslie :lol:

The simple answer is yes and no respectively.

It was decided early on that the price was 20 bucks for each adult. This was to cover the cost of taking over the entire East Park area for Friday, Saturday and Sunday till we depart. That way we do not have to worry about ”strangers” camping in the middle of “our” area.

Don’t forget that the BBQ is included in the $20.00.

Nice to hear that you like the place as I have never been there myself. I sure hope the weather is as it should be. 8) Also glad your able to make it.

I'm planning on getting there on Thursday sometime and may stay till Monday myself. Kinda depends how much time my brother has off as he is ridin' with me.

I sure hope we get a full house! At this time there is still owing $489.74 for the East Park area.

OK everyone, This should be a great time. Don't miss out! Look at your calendar and mark those days. Then tell your boss that you are going and then just Do It!
