I know I don't post much, more of a fly on the wall forum guy...

But since the outlook for Saturday is nice, thought someone might have a plan for a ride. I'm up for a nice trip through Whidbey Island, ferry to Port Townsend, and return to Mukilteo (for the north riders).

If there's something I haven't yet discovered on the south end, please let me know; been to Leavenworth and Rainer a few times, looking for a new place to ride to, preferably with entertaining scenery (no a strip club doesn't count).

Also, i'm not typcally an early riser, so something that starts at 10am at the EARLIEST, preferably noon, it is the weekend afterall, and has to be taken at a nice relaxed pace.

Fodder away ---

Well I'm going to be in Ft Lewis helping dedicate the Freedom Bridge with the PGR or I'd volunteer to show you Whidbey Island.

Good Luck on your ride!

The best ride in the state of Washington is the North Cascades Highway to Winthrop (Highway 20). You can also continue on down to Wenatchee and back over hwy 2. Although doing highway 20 both ways is almost like 2 different roads. Another good ride, is the Olympic loop, hwy 101. This weekend is the Lake Chelan Rally, me and some buddies are leaving Friday morning at 9am from Sedro Woolley, heading over highway 20.

I have been planning to running the Cascade loop sometime in the next couple of weeks. Does anyone know if I can run it in a day or is it best enjoyed as an overnighter in Winthrop?

You can run the North Cascades in a day. I did it last year with 5 other gals. We started in Burlington about 9 ish and headed over, had lunch in Winthrop, headed south, ate again in Levenworth and then back over Hwy 2. It was about 450 miles for me from Burlington to South Everett. We got home about 9pm after all the stops. Beautiful ride. Well worth it.

I'm good with either the Cascades loop or whatever.
If the weather looks good for Saturday the 11th, if anyone wants to go, please post or PM me, and we'll decide on a place to meet up.

Cheers.

I'm heading over to Lake Chelan this weekend for the Manson rally. Should be a good ride, although it tends to rain on the ride back.
