About three months after I sold the "X" it was spotted on 17S near Kingsley BLVD. I caught up with the gentlemen driving it in traffic and could only yell at him between traffic that "That used to be my old bike!" The lucky guy drivin' it waved at me as if I was hysterical and had just recently gone off my MEDS!
I chased him up Roosevelt BLVD but he turned off onto 295N...that would be the last time I saw my old bike, UNTIL about two weeks later it was sitting by an old auto repair shop in the Ortega area!! The odds?
I introduced myself as the maniac that had tried to flag him down before, we exchanged cell numbers and I gave him (Bill) a run down on all the mods that had been made to the bike...seems he bought it used at the same place I bought it new (Purcells).
I turned Bill onto this site and he has signed up as Old Grump...
Even though I just lurk here from time to time I would like to welcome Old Grump to this site! :D
