...just wish it wasn't so ugly. I'm new here, just picked up a 03 1800C with the stuff in my sig. Looking forward to summer rides with some new friends. Not new to bikes, just the VTX, anything I should be on the lookout for besides the rear bearing problem I am reading about?

Welcome to the site! I live right over the hill from you. Lots of great people here.
I had to replace my water pump at about 6,000 mi. No other problems. I now have 18,000 fun filled miles. :D
There is a bike night every Wed. in Port Gamble and also Thursday's at Romeo's Bar and Grill in Bremerton. Those are the two I usually frequent.
Hope to see you around.

Welcome to the board. I also have a 2003VTX 1800C. I have 8800 miles and just replaced the stock Dunies that were cupped pretty bad. I put on new Bridgstones and have the air up to 39#. It is a much smoother ride!!! Regular oil and maintenance at 4 and 8 thousand... Runs sweet!! hope to run into you and others? The rain has kept the meets down!!! We do have the BBQ coming up in July... :D  Check it OUT! Ride On... Ed & Leslie :) :)

I'll definitely be around, unless I'm out riding... I have racked up over 200 miles in two days of riding just cruising around the local areas. I may have to try the Romeo's thing, considering it is just around the corner from me. Hope to see you all around soon!

Rear bearings really haven't been an issue. just a few that got blown way out of proportion to the actual problem. Hope to see you around.
