Hi, all. My husband and I are riding from Washington State to Stillwater, OK the end of this week, and we're expecting to need new tires on my VTX when we get there. Does anyone have any information about the quality of the dealership in Stillwater or surrounding areas?

Any input would be appreciated.

Becky...I copied your post and reposted it on the Oklahoma VTX site. If I hear anything, I'll let you know. If you make it to OK City (about 70 miles from Stillwater), try Maxey's. I believe they have a website.

Have a safe trip...try Eskomo Joe's (for eating and drink'in) in Stillwater and PM me if you need back-up numbers in case you get stuck.

Thanks for the info, Bull. My husband grew up in Stillwater, so we're VERY familiar with Joe's. I'm sure we'll hit there at least once while we're there. We're planning to hit Bricktown in OKC while we're there, maybe go to TK's I Love This Bar & Grill. Thanks, too, for re-posting for me. I thought I checked for an OK VTX board, but maybe I dreamt it!! Stranger things have happened.

Thers a place called the Motorcycle tire store which is located on south Agnew in OKC, Just north of the HD dealership.
The shop is not much to look at but they do carry Avons to fit the X.
There price is real close to what you can buy them from Honda direct line as well. The last time i had a set mounted the guy charged me $15 per tire to mount and balance which include him taking it off and putting it back on the bike.
The place is kind of hard to find he has a small sign he sets out on Agnew street and the building is a red brick and is located on the west side of the street.

Hi Becky...have to go with MikeOK on the Motorcycle Tire Store as probably one of the better places cost wise. If you are planning to come to OKC...might be the place to checkout. Their phone number is 405-634-8380.

Some others are still checking the Stillwater area...more to follow.
