Lamont was good enough to provide a spot for us Washington X'rs to come hang out and talk bikes and rides as pertains to our state. I asked for this to migrate some traffic off the tech forum. I hope we use it and people from anywhere can come to hear about our rides in and around the Great State of Washington.

I see X riders as brothers with riders everywhere and hope to encourage people to come here for some beautiful scenic rides.

Lastly, I didn't want this to try and replace the official site at the:

Washington X Riders Site (http://www.vtxwa.com)

But enhance it.

Thanks! and Welcome!

I'm glad you set this up. Now it is like one stop shopping. I can do everything from VTXOA. Sometimes my posts on VTXWA takes hours or days to appear. Things happen instantly here and that is better for last minute rides. It was good meeting you guys yesterday. Thanks for setting this up!

It's kinda weird. I've lived up here well over decade and never been over Stevens Pass and never been over Bluett so it's all good to me. I plan to take some rides on the east(dry) side. I love the arid odor. Reminds me of the San Gabriels of Socal. We took 202 out to Fall city. I remember some of those roads but it was nice to travel the backways.

Great meeting you too Dadio. I'll let ya know when I head that ways and we can hook up again.

Take care Bro.

Your welcome. Good meeting you too. I love this site and am pretty used to the BBCode. It's easy to share pics and like you mention a click away from the tech forums. I know lots of people here too.

I was apprehensive at first but thought what the heck, all you can do is hope people will find it useful. I've learn a ton about my bike from the tech forum but want to do some riding this summer and meet some peops.

Take care.

Good job wavtx!! Nice to have met some of you in Leavenworth. Great ride and great company.

That was quick! Yesterday on the ride I was still wondering if we were getting a WA forum or a WA/OR forum; this AM I check and it's a done deal. But what happened to OR? Will they get their own, will they be added to ours? Just my opinion, but I kind of liked the idea of the two state setup as we have so much geography, climate and extended families in common.

Anyway, thanks to Al, LaMont et al for getting it up and running.

Stevens Pass...that brings back some memories.

Great to see we have our own board.

I am curious though -- how many X owners do we have in the state... Whenever I'm riding, I always look, but have only seen 3-4 so far.

But the guys I've talked to, all love the X. My dad bought a new Shadow Sabre when I got my C, and he gets a little fussy when I get more looks than he does... =)

I look forward to meeting everyone in a future ride. I'd love to say sooner than later, but I'm on business in India... Land of the 150CC bike... No big bikes in this country..... They'd go nuts if they saw me howling down the streets on my bike around here.

Wow! Whatcha doing in India? Are you an IT type?

Well, make sure and look us up when you get back. We have quite a few. The task is getting them rounded up. Actually, we had over 25 bikes on the last ride. You and your Dad would be more then welcome on whatever ride you want to show up on.

Take care Justin.

Hey Al (WAVTX),
I happen to agree with what you told Brad, and I'm not too happy with what is going on with the Oregon page. There's even more to it than you know. So if it's ok I'd like to hang out sometimes here. You never know might even head up for a ride some day. What ya think?

Hey, welcome Knarf. Glad you stopped by. You might want to resize your avatar. Looks pretty cool!

Thanks.

I figured as much. I feel bad for them and for guys like you. Sometimes crap just happens and there ain't squat you can do about it. You and whoever are welcome to come hang out here. I was kinda stoked to come down and meet some of you. Oregon has some dang fine riding down there. We'll see, I may come down and meet up with ol Warden. Sounds like a real nice person.

Take care, and welcome bro.

Hit the quote button. It targets the specific message. Looks good now. Pic in the text body are okay. They don't have as great an impact on the screen.

Hope this helps.

The Warden is a great guy. He's the one that found me posting on the tech board and told me about the Oregon site. Since then we've done a lot of emailing and last weekend we did a mod to our bikes together. Weren't able to go for a ride together though, he had to leave before I finished with my jet kit. You should check out a post on the tech site (if you haven't already, I do see you get around) about blown shifter seals. Thanks for letting me bring my marbles here to play!!

I sure hope you (and some of your Oregon buds) can make it up this way for some riding... I think it's unfortunate that that kind of stuff has to happen, and I can certainly understand wanting to distance yourself... but I think I can safely speak for all the WAVTXers when I say - You're welcome to hang out here!
Hope to see you on the road!

Whew! India! I both envy you, and I don't!
To answer your question, it's difficult to say! This past weekend, we had the best showing we've had since the Washington group was formed over a year ago. We had an informal meet-up in Leavenworth on Saturday, and 25 Xs showed. There's probably close to 50 on the list... and I suspect that many have not signed up for various reasons. It used to be that I'd see one X for every 50 - 75 Harleys... now I'd say it's closer to 25-30:1 (on the road... that's not to say the same X doesn't ride by twice! hehehehe!)
Keep checking us out. We're trying to encourage everyone who owns an X to post up ANY ride they hear about... ANYWHERE!!! Of course, I don't think we'd have a really great showing if there was a ride in Delhi... but you never know!
