Hi! I am looking at getting new pipes for my bike. It has the stock pipes on it right now. It came with D&D Performance Exhaust which were WAY too loud for my taste. I am trying to find other VTX's around here (Savannah area) with after market pipes to hear. I had a set of V&H's on my Shadow that I loved!, but I don't know if that same type would sound the same on the VTX. Actually, I'm not even sure what type of V&H's they were on it, since the previous owner put them on. They might be Slashes...
Does anyone have custom pipes? If so, what do they sound like? I like a nice low throaty growl. I'm not looking at being heard a mile away, just richening up the bike's sound. If anyone is going to be heading out to a bike night anywhere around here in the next week or two, give me a heads up and I'll keep an eye out for ya. I'd love to hear other VTX's and what they have, as much as to hear what I do want and what I don't want! (I'll be selling those D&D's soon, too...)

I have the Vance & Hines pipes with the Quiet Baffles. They one of the best sounding pipes on the 1800 in my opinion. The Roadhouse slip-ons are also very popular for their sound. Since the 1300 has a better sound than the 1800 you'll have fun selecting new pipes. One really good resource for finding new pipes may be over in the 1300 forum. Do a search there and you'll probably find your answers real fast! Good luck!

Hard Krome's sound good! I have 2.5" Classic Straights, StockbridgeVTX has same, AGXRider has 3" HK. The 3" has a lower tone than 2.5".
Lower sound, louder pipes!!
