I'm in serious need of some new tires, and was hoping for some suggestions on who does the best job in the Seattle to Everett area for mounting and balancing. My primary concerns are, using the least amt. of balancing weight possible and preventing damage to my aluminum wheels.

I took mine in to Everett Powersports. They did a hi speed spin balance on my spoked wheels. You might try them.

You might try Bent Bike in Lynwood --- I've heard they do a fairly good job.

I used Cycle Gear around here and have been really pleased with the price and the work. I think they charged me $20 for the rear and $12 for the front. they have one in Auburn and one in Tacoma. Dont know how close those are to you.....You do have to take the wheel off and bring it to them though ...

Thanks, I've heard that too from others.
Unfortunately though, they require that you buy the tires from them.
On my last bike, an 1100 Yamaha which had spoked steel rims, Lynnwood Yamaha installed my internet ordered tires for about $20 per wheel.

Thanks Mark,
I'll add them to my list of possibles. I don't mind driving a few extra miles, if they can do a good job.

Depending upon how far north you might want to go... Maryott's Honda in Mount Vernon is very good and quite reasonable. I had my rear tire mounted and balanced, by them, for $22 (plus tax). I brought my internet purchase and my rear wheel (alloy) in, and they had me out the door in about 45 minutes. No marks on the alloy, and no problems in the first 1000 miles!

Grinch, thanks for the info. I'll definately add this shop to my list of possibles. It doesn't really bother me to drive a few extra miles for great service. 8)
Thanks again,
