Sure, most of the time I think that I am one of the nicest guys out there riding a bike. (I don't even call myself a biker)
A week or so ago we were riding and a car pulled up along side of us at a light.
Very politely the gentleman asked if we were on a 1300.
I said yes, we exchanged a couple words and we were off.
Come to find out that guy is here on this board......mebetj15 to be exact, and now owns his own VTX!
Always be on your best behavior 'cause you never know, that person next to you may be one of us someday.
Congrats on your bike mebetj15..............
......now LETSRIDE! :)

I just saw a special on motorcycles this past weekend, and it explained why that phrase was created. Very intersting.

LetsRide was kind enough not to point out I couldn't tell if his X was a 1300 or 1800, showing my newness to the model. Look forward to meeting all of you soon!

Look at the bottom of the gas tank. The 1800's are more arched (need room for those monsters)...the 1300's are pretty straight.
Or at least it seems to work for me.

... because the only way I know is by the radiator sticking outside the frame on the 1800.
Speaking of newness...............
....until we got our first X last year I thought that all of the bikes I saw around here were HD.
They were Honda Shadows!

I usually look at the spark plug covers.... 1 piece plastic for 1300's, and 3 piece metal for 1800's with exposed bolts.
