This is my third season in this group. I have made some of the best friends in my life here, and some here I feel closer to then my own family, minus my wife, and kids of corse. The day I met for my first ride with you guys, I met up with smoken Joe, and David (then simpleman), and we went out to the bunker were I met Skinny, and Kerry, who came with a big hug, and welcomed me, then Jefferson, and Roadblock, and Gbert came to the bunker, and we went out to Skinnys place, the to Smoken Joes house, were I met Dianne, and then greedy came. I went home that day, and thought, In all my years of meating people, with my jobs, and school, and other things in my life. I never met a nicer bunch of guys, and ladys. I told my wife for the first time ever, I thought I met a group of people that I felt good for my wife, and kids to be around, and good enough to even have at the house. I found that the people here were so good, I could tell them my address, and phone number, and invite them over, all with out even meeting them. Now I dont know why, but since Skinny, and Kerry passed away, I some times dont feel like part of the group, and when I see some of the posts, I dont even know what to think. There is gosup, there is mud slinging, and even threats to people. I try real hard to stay away from it all, some times its hard when you care about people, and then see them trashing each other. When this happens I cant even think about talking sides, or even getting in on it. I never met anyone here I just hated, and 90% on the people here I have met would be welcome in my home anytime, even the few I dont care for that much, would still be welcome, and I would do anything I could for them. What happend to the family like group we had? It just dont feel like it much anymore, and it all seems to be slowly breaking up. Am I wrong? I hope so. I will say that I am going to stay off the board a bit, I already been doing that on the main boards cus I thought they were getting a bit out there. You cant say anything there with getting crap for it, but I thought the local boards were a bit better then that. I still think ALL of you are great, and thank you all for letting me be part of this over the last few years, its been great, but im starting to feel a bit freaked out by some of the things I read here. This is not directed to anyone in particular, its been looking like this to me for the last year. Am I the only one that sees this?

You have to ignore some stuff and for some things you have to call the person out, it's a normal part of message board life.

Everybody's sense of humor is different and the nuances that you'd get in person aren't transmitted in a typed message. Some folks don't think before they press the Submit button. Some people just get a wild hair up their butt and go off for no reason. The board lets you take cheap shots in relative safety, think the same things would have been said to ANV1L's face? It's the old passive/aggresive behavior.

I've seen the same thing on other boards and it's been a lot nastier than it is here. If you think someone's post is inappropriate, say something. If you're posting something that you think is harmless teasing, read it again before submitting it. We're all adults here (well, chronologically anyway!) let's not resort to junior high behavior.

Just that this has been such a close nit group and now it seems to be sliding away. A few stupid comments here and a snide remark there just doesn't seem to fit on a cycle board. Maybe a harley vs honda post but not here. Hope all settles down and we can all move on.

Used to ride alot when a kid, just got back into again after my wife bought herself a 06 750 aero shadow. i live in the campbellsport area and we do not usually have anyone or anywhere to go but to ride around in the kettle moraine, would like to have plans during the weekend.

I think I'm gonna ride the X to the golf thingy for my class reunion on Friday. Used to ride a Honda 90 in high school so it won't be anything new to those folks! For the party on Sat. it's definitely the convertible, I may want a c0cktail or 2. :twisted:
