Hi All
I have only just picked up my new VTX - S 1300 and now trying to find out how many people are members here in Australia. This is my second cruiser the first was a Shadow 750.
I would also like some information on floodboards for the pilon passanger where to get them and is they can be mounted in a different place ie lower down as mt wife is fairly tall.
Any help would be great.

G'day Polly and welcome. The best thing to do is use the search function and you will find plenty of info on pillion floorboards. I would usually purchase something like floorboards from one of three places, all in the US.....
Honda Direct Line (http://www.hondadirectlineusa.com/stores/byProduct.asp?prd=Floorboards&str=13&ID=240876026)
Xtreme Revolution (http://www.xtremerevolution.com/store/sc-22-1-footpegsfloorboards.aspx)
Cruiser Customizing (http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/category.cfm?model_ID=54&category_ID=6&sblid=Footpegs__Floorboards__Highway_Bars)
I am actually looking at the Kury Dually ISO pegs for my pillion now.
Where in Adelaide do you live?? I grew up in Edwardstown but about 10 years ago saw the light and headed to where I can ride all year round!! I occassionaly venture down there to visit family.
Cheers,
Beaker

gday Polly I'm in Sydney. you'll love the X - congratulations on your purchase and also for having a long-legged wife :P
I have read good things about pillion floorboards though she may find a backrest and an aftermarket seat more satisfying
look forward to seeing you here more often

Thanks Chilliman and Beaker
Beaker: Im currently living in Golden Grove over near Tea Tree and will be moving to the ACT in January 07 as thats my new location. Dont worry I have all the cold weather gear as I came from the ACT prior to my posting to Adelaide (HA HA). As I said before I'm in the Army and we move evry 2 to 3 years. The best thing is that I have just come back from a tour in Iraq so that how I paid for the new Bike.
Chilliman: thanks for the advise and I have the back rest on order, have been waiting now for over a week. And then will get the floorboards for the wife. Hope to maybe catch up with you when I move to the ACT as we have family in Sydney.
Once again guys thanks for the warm welcome.

yes mate that would be good, it's only a 2 hour trip between ACT and Sydney. I've only got 2pts left on my licence so I can't go any faster.
where are you getting your backrest from - a dealer?

Well we do have something in common. Only had my bike a week and was booked, Oh well thats life. As for the back rest I have picked it up through the Honda shop as it was on the list of gear that could come with the bike.

Must be a VTX thing, but then again you have got a 'busa so I can understand where the points have gone!!
I've only got 3pts left on mine, although I should pick up another 2 in November.
Till then it's easy riding.
I know it's still a long way off but once Polly moves to Canberra we should organise a get together somewhere between Brisbane and Sydney/Canberra. Iam sure that the guys up here would be keen. Just a thought!!

Gees mate, you are keen!! I too don't own a car but Iam lucky enough to live where it is a little warmer in the winter. I grew up in Adelaide but never owned a bike down there. And your moving to Canberra where the winters are even colder?? Good on ya - but fark ya must have some good gear or just be immune to the cold!!
