Ok, so since I had exchanged my tins for an awesome paint job by Cliff, I haven't put my small LED turn signals on yet. I have been riding around using my arm to notify others of which direction I am going.

My question is:

Is it legal to operate a newer bike without turn signals? I didnt see anything saying you need them but I know that most laws say that you must operate your vehicles with all OEM part installed by factory, not that its strictly enforced or so not in my area.

So do I need them like right now? Or can I take my good ol time installing them?

I would say no, If I read the info correctly

My 2 cents

Brett:

You're ok. PA does not require turn signals on motorcycles. If you DO have them they have to work but if you don't have them it's OK regardless of the year your bike was manufactured.

Here's some more info: http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/067/c ... 5.146.html (http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/067/chapter175/s175.146.html)

It actually doesn't even mention turn signals other than a vehicle "MAY" have turn signals and if it does they have to flash at a prescribed interval but mostly it covers what lighting you DO need and what you can and can't have.
