Will be leaving Chris's early June 5, 7:00 am will meet up with ANVIL (if he is heathly yet), with his group will take up Hwy 67 to Road America. So those coming from other parts of Wisconsin can make plans were to meet up on the way. We might have to leave earlier I will post it as we get closer to that date, and we will also let you know if we do not all go at the same time where to meet up when you get to Road America. Get your tickets in advance you will save lots fo money doing it in advance

Skinny - what tickets should we get? What are we doing as a group that we would need a ticket to see? Salute to Cycles Parades for Sat. and/or Sunday?

Did we ever find a hotel and/or campground that we are congregating at? If a campground, I might try to find an RV rental and tow the bike up Friday night.

Here are the different tickets from their web site, I've bolded my guess at tickets.

We going, please lets us know. I figured we would leave CRIS'S Saturday morning early morning 7:00. At this time I have no idea who and how many are even going. That is one of the hard things of doing these rides I have no idea how many X'er are going to show up. I really thing the Elkhart lake trip will be maybe 5-7 riders maybe..I think the saturday tickets right know

Last time we went up there, (2002?) I believe we had 9 or 10 bikes. This was the first time I met Tim, Riley, and Randy. I definitely think there will be more this time. We took our time getting up there, (lost a Harley on the way) and didn’t miss a thing. I would skip the bike parade; you basically ride around the track at 30MPH with hundreds of other bikes. We have until the 26th to get the advanced price tickets. I’m guessing Saturday. If you get bored watching the race (not sure how this is possible) go to hwy 67 in front of the main gate and watch the squids do some crazy *****.

One more thing, get ready to do some dirt tracking with your bike. Tim or Riley found a great place to watch the bikes hit around 170-180MPH right before they hit turn 5.

BRING SUNBLOCK!!!!

When I use to Race up there. (hey Skinny :D ) There would be ALL kinds of Speed Traps.

Also On the NBC News last night, They were mentioning, What they were calling "The Boarder Wars" Between Illinois and Wisconsin State Troopers.

Just a reminder

Bike update....

Picked up tins from pinstriper yesterday- who went out of town for the weekend before I could get them picked up- luckily- mother nature was a bitch and he hauled his family and camper back home so I could pick them up after all. (YESSSSS!!!)

Dropped my stuff off for the final shot of clear last night- luckily some circumstances left a guy workin down at the paint shop so I could drop them off- just had to help hang a few doors off a 66 for P/U in the paint booth. BUT- they said they would shoot them earlt today (YESSSSSS!!!)

Rear fender is on- rad shroud is on- electrics are DONE- intake is DONE- desmog is DONE Forwards are DONE- brake bleeding is DONE

Just waiting on front tire from HAL- should be here by now, may have to just find one somewhere else and slap it on- so I'd have an extra front metz layin around if someone is interested.

HOPEFULLY (Fingers crossed big time here) (It IS looking very good) I WILL be ready for this weekend- but barely- I'll still have to reassemble the tank and fuel system, mount the fairing outer, and fender- (front tire too- but it's very doable. Wifey and I got a sitter lined up for the weekend, so we're good to go- (IF EVERYTHING goes O.K.)

I really want to go real bad- it's our 11th wedding anniversary on Sat.- and wifey has been getting nervous about going to Colorado- too nervous- told her a good ride would settle those feelings down- been long time since bike was together.

Wherever we meet is fine with me- I'd probably just meet you guys down at Chris's.

....(Now skinny- we got to work on the ANV1L situation- I'm calling you today.)

Skinny,

What's the agenda for Saturday? I might be able to attend, and I want to make sure what the plans are.

I know we leave at 7:00 from Chris's, but is there anything we are doing out there in particular? About what time do we plan on heading back? Just making sure I open my schedule up enough.

Thanks

Gbert

Hi Ya Gbert,
I can all most bet it will be a long day I am not sure on the return time . just going with the flo.. We might have a change in plans it sound like one of our X Brother (ANVIL) is in a Big $$$$$ pinch and is selling his bike and will not be riding his Hot Rod up with us. I am not Happy that he is going thur this extreme without talking with us Xer before going thur this much extreme of getting rid of the best Bike he has worked so hard for..
i hope he waits untill all the dust settles and gather all his medical bills and see what the total damage is. I know all of us would help out, there is a lot of X Rider out there that would help..
