X riders I could not get a place to stay in the La Crosse area all places were booked up so I had to move our meeting.. I have changed our meeting place to GALENA ILL instead. I will post this week our place to stay. Sorry for the change I beleive Galena will be just as much fun to ride to if not better. Ok (FIB'S) Freindly Illonois Biker's we are going to invade your boarders on July 17 hope to see you all again if not more of you freindly Riders.

So far in getting a place to stay in La Crosse they are booked all the places I have contacted so far. WE MOVED THE MEETING TO GALENA ILL

I am trying to get in touch with a guy I talked to last weekend who said he met a guy who has 2 five bedroom cabins on the river north of La Crosse that are awesome and he only charges $40 per person.

If you are thinking about moving it, let me suggest Galena, Il. It might be easier to get more of those X riding FIBS to come out and play and it is a pretty good ride.

I've never been to Galena, but my roadmap says that US Grant's Old homestead is there. Might be worth a look-see.

LaCrosse is a little far for a quick trip. So if you change the location, keep us "southerners" in mind.

To get a chance to meet our Northern X rider, a chance to meet each other that is why I thought to have it in La Crosse area. Maybe the middle of the state to would be a thought too.. I am not hearing much from our northern X riders.

My old Club use to take over the town of Galena every year. Great places to ride ALL over that area. The "Field of Dreams" is only a few miles away as well.

I say make Galena the Base and ride in any direction. You can't go wrong.

Me and wife spent a day there last year, great town and will do it again. Never been to Illinois before, so we decided to follow the Miss. down, will be on a trip to Yellowstone at this time, otherwise would make it. Live in So Mn, about four hrs away, have fun.

Thanks for the reply, we should have fun, it is a good ride for me also from Brulington I figuar 3-4 hours. You and your wife have a safe trip to Yellowstone, we hope to meet you sometime on our rides.

OK I mapped it and if we take 11 west from burlington to Rt 80 south into Il to 84 into Galena, its only 131.4 miles door to door from Chris' to the motel. Sounds like if we leave Chris' by 2:00 on Fri 7/16 we should be all set.

It sounds like we are going to have a great turn out lots of reservations were made. All ride safe for those leaving with me I would like to leave Friday @ 2:00ish from Chris's USA. Hwy 11 straight west than turn south and we invade our Freindly Illinois Biker's State. Check in and go out for supper, than let the Bull story's begin. Ride safe all see you all there.
