Couple things I did different...
1. Replace the bolts that come with it with Stainless Socket Head Cap Screws. The stock bolts are either typical zinc coated or aluminum. They'll snap before you get them tight enough.
2. Where the floorboard goes on the mount, there is a bolt that goes all the way through. I placed SS washers at each end in between the floorboard holes and the mount holes. The fit was sloppy and allowed the floorboards to flop. Taking out the slop with the SS washers as shims keeps the floorboards up.
3. In addition to the nylox nuts that come with it, I also used SS lockwashers and star washers so that the use of the floorboards up and down wouldn't loosen up the nut.
