So the past couple months I have been really doing some research on, and putting together a saltwater tank. Which is primarily the reason why I have been less than active on the boards.

The tank is a small tank 38g, and I plan on running it as a reef tank focusing on corals and only a few fish. Something I aim for in the future is all natural filtration.
Well, my tank has been up for a little less than 2 weeks, and has already cycled. Which if you know anything about these tanks, is pretty quick. Now I am almost ready to actually start making it look nice, with some good fish and a full rock stack.

Is anyone else down here into Saltwater tanks?

This pic is day 2. The water is much clearer now.

I have a salt tank but not a reef tank. 125 gl with lot's of fish. many of which we catch when we dive or even some casting! The corals are dead, the lighting basic. but we like it! Have fun!

If I did not want a reef, I really love the idea of stocking a tank with fish that I caught myself. I know that there are some hazards to that, but nothing a little quarantine tank cannot handle.

i have had salt water tanks for about 7 years, i currently have a 110 reef tank with 200 lb of live rock and about 50 corals, let me know if you need any advise. my brother is also into the salt water thing and has a license to buy and sell corals, i can get you any coral or fish for about 1/2 of what it cost at a local pet shop. let me know if you want to see any pics of my tank.
