A couple of questions from a newbie to those with the wisdom:

1. What's the best way to go with modifying the intake? Hypercharger? K&N?

2. Is it rediculous to ask about how to get a second brake assembly for the front wheel?

3. Will I need to re-jet my bike after the intake modification if I get it re-jetted now (after getting the Cobra exhaust)?

4. Any recommendations on where to go for a ride (<300 mi. from Charleston, SC)?

Thanks.

You will likely get more responses on the 1300 board.

If it were me, I would add the pipes and not worry about the rejet unless there were problems (backfiring etc). That being said - I would remove the pair valve assembly when I added the pipes. When you do the intake, you likely should rejet. You will get a lot of different opinions on rejetting, pipes etc.

Welcome to the Carolina X Riders.

Welcome to the Palmetto state. Are you going to the Fall rally in Myrtle Beach?

Sorry I haven't active in the forums lately. Have I missed out on the Myrtle rally?

Hello Neighbor,

Not entirely sure if your new to the VTX / motorcycles or new to Summerville but welcome regardless. I can't help you with the intake or re-jetting questions. Mine is still stock. I figure the best way for me to have a trouble-free scoot is to keep it like Honda made it! :D

Unfortunately your not going to find too many twisties here in the Lowcountry (there are a few mildly twisty roads but even they seem far and few between). There are several rural roads to ride, not really technically challenging but still fun just being able to ride.

Maybe we can ride together sometime after the temp's drop to something comfortable.

Ride Safe,
Tom
