Hey All,

Does anyone know of a local dealer who carries Amsoil?

Try the Cycle Lab on 441 just North of 595. They are 99.9% Harley so I'm not sure the oil they have will be the right weight. Ph # 954-587-4392

They carry 20 w 50. The consensus seems to be that I need to replace the 20w50 with 10w40. Found a place over by Executive Airport that carries it. Avaco. Said they always have it. Talked to the marketing rep at the Leesburg thing. He told me the Honda was not engineered for the heaver 20w50.
In any event, I change to 10w40 Saturday.

Hey Mitch........I would check with your friend at Champion first......just a friendly tip.
Honda oil works fine, and if you want to use a synthetic, Honda makes a synthetic blend that is designed for the engine/trans/wet clutch set up that we have.
There are a million differant opinions on this, but I'm sticking with Honda.

IN RESPONSE TO YOUR QUESTION ON AMSOIL DIST. FOR SOUTH FLORIDA THE COMPANY I KNOW OF IS AABACO INDUSTRIES INC. 1500 W. CYPRESS CREEK ROAD #505, FT. LAUDERDALE FL. 33309 THEY SENT ME OR YOU CAN PICK UP A CASE THAT THE COST WAS VERY REASONABLE AND THEY WERE VERY INFORMATIVE. THEY HAD V-TWIN OIL 20-50 AND 10-40 MOTORCYCLE OIL. THE V-TWIN OIL IS RATED API CD, SG-CG OR SH-CD OIL. IT'S 12+TBN SYNTHETIC IS WET CLUTCH COMPATIBLE. I RUN IT IN MY 1800C AND NOTICED COOLER RUNNING, QUIET GEAR CHANGE AND A 2 MPG INCREASE AFTER THE FIRST 200 MILES I HAD IT IN. CHECK OUT THE AMSOIL WEB SITE FOR COMPARISONS WITH MOBIL AND THE REST.
