Riding the Dragon

Hi All,

A bunch of my co-workers and I plan on making a run to Deals Gap labor day weekend. We are shooting for Sunday, 3rd of Sept.

Just thought I would post and see if anyone wants to join us :)

Looks like the weather will hold out and it will be nice Sunday.

We plan on meeting at Holly Springs Store, thats hwy 11 and 178 in Pickens around 7:30/8:00 am.

That sounds like FUN!...I am real "lost" when it comes to ride time/distance...how long does it take to get there from Chapin, S.C.? :oops: :shock: :roll: :oops: 8) 8) :D

As far as I know, we are all just going up for the day and will be back sometime Sunday night.

It is roughly 117 miles from chapin to where we are starting and another 112 or so to the Dragon. :)

Okay! Where is everyone meeting at for the ride up?

We are meeting up at Holly Springs Store, thats the store at the 4 way stop, hwy 11 and hwy 178.

Rough times are 7:30 to 8:00 am "ish".

The planned route will be up 178 and over to Highlands, then up 28.

That is if the weather holds out.
