So, I know it's spring and it is time to ride but I'm starting to gather up my thoughts for this winters project and one them includes getting my lower fork tubes chromed, along with maybe my calipers and some other misc. crap. My question to you fine folks, who in the area can i trust, who does show quality chrome, I'm not concerned about turn around time since like I said it's going to be a winter project. But I need to start getting people lined up so All i gotta do is ship em out!!!
Thanks for your help!!

I don't know how far you want to go, but I had this guy do my work.
Superior Polishing Streamwood, IL. 60107 630-289-8862
Does chrome, anodizing, powdercoating, and polishing.
I did a chrome exchange with Matt at the Zone. I like being able to see what I am paying for and not having to worry about someone screwing it up. I paid a little more for it but I knew the chrome was done right with no flaws and I drove it it one day and picked it the next day. I am very happy with all the chome I got there.

Geek, what did you exchange? will they exchange anything?? That's not a bad idea i could do it now if i can be riding immediatly.......keep them ideas coming
Forks, lowers, rims, swing arm (yes the entire swing arm), polished roters, risers, master cyls, triple trees, and more.
While they had it for the (2) days they also did new breakes, brake lines, and clutch.
It looks great and no down time. You need to make arrangement with Matt before you try this - Make sure they have all the parts ready to go and you have no down time.
I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was worth every cent not to miss a nice day.

Checked with Superior (folks Spike mentioned) and got a quote of $680 to have the stock wheels on my Neo chromed. Does this sound reasonable?

Acrotech. based on my research that is a resonable price, I've been quoted up to 800 for a rim job... but 600-700 seems to be average.

Go for a chrome exchange instead. They want 680? I paid 700 for my Chrome wheels through the Zone. Wheels look great and they cut off that lip that runs down the middle of the rim (looks better and makes it easier to clean). If you are going to pay 680, you might as well call and see if they have any sets of wheels at the Zone.

The Zone is a Honda/Kawasaki dealer in Chicago. They're located at
4520 W. 63rd St. Just a few blocks east of Midway Airport. The phone
no. is 773 767-7280. Ask for Matt. He's the service manager. Good guy
to do business with.

I decided to do the kewl metal frontend as well, except I still gotta get my lower forks chromed. but for 245 for the 1300 you get the fat fork kit and the upper tree, so I thought it sounded like a good deal.
