Last year on Labor Day, my wife and I met up with a dozen friends out of Port Angeles and Sequim, Washington, where I used to live a little over 4 years ago. There were two Goldwings in the group and the rest were on Harley's. We were on a '92 Wide Glide with less than 10K miles on it. Talk about shake, rattle and roll. We rode 365 miles the first day, then averaged 250 the following couple of days. Made me appreciate my "X".
A few of us who decided not to ship our bikes to the Big Island or Maui this year will be meeting at Zippy's in Pearl City; the furthest West, down by the power station. Give an email shout our just show up if you're interested. There will only be about six of us. We're independent riders. In fact, we're working on a "Hawai'i X Riders screen print design. X can cover a lot of ground . . . including fellow VTXer's.
