I went to the South Mississippi Bike Rally in Hattiesburg this weekend, and any of you that didn't go, you didn't miss a thing. True, the weather SUCKED, but, even if it had been great weather, it was a bad, disorganized rally. There were maybe a total of ten vendors (including food vendors) that were present and they told us they wouldn't be back next year. After paying $75.00 for my RV pad, + $20.00 for my camper (?), + $20.00 for my bike trailer, + $40.00 for my weekend pass, + $40.00 for my wifes weekend pass, it cost me a total of $195.00 before I even bought a bottle of water. Now I realize I may get a lot of s$$$ for posting this, but, I just wanted to let you guys know what to expect if you plan on going next year. As always, these statements are just my honest opinions.

No problem Sevans. I just hate to see us working guys plan and spend our money on something that's a waste of time when we could be buying goodies for our bikes :D . Seriously, I don't want to take anything away from the guys that "organized :? " the rally, but, we won't be back. I see you're in Greenwood and if you've never been to the rally in Sturgis Ms, it is DEFINETLY!!!!! worth the trip.

I heard that Slick. Wasn't much at all going on. Not sure it was that great in 03 either. Very few vendors. On the way home (Raleigh) that afternoon, I hit rain just North of Collins and it came down let me tell ya. It was the worst downpoar I had ever been in. I followed a semi across 35 because I could see the "big square" of his trailer. That was ALL I could see. When I got to the house, I heard my weather radio going off. A tornado had been spotted just NorthWest of Collins MS.
I wasn't going that fast......must have been a real tornado.
Anyway, not sure at all that I'll hit the Rally next year unless the entertainment is the draw.

Sorry to hear that the Hattiesburg Rally was worthless. Had thot about going-glad I did not. On the other hand, slicks' feelings are worthwhile knowing since I am helping some folks put together a first time rally for Horn Lake.
I will make sure the promoters don't duplicate this error.
Keep the shiny side up.

the Sturgis rally is in a small town named Sturgis in the north eastern part of Miss towards Starkville (Miss State). If you need better directions, PM me and I will give them to you.
