Oyster Run Ride in Meet Point

Hi All

Have had some inquires about a Oyster Run Ride in. It is hard to find the info so I thought I would start a new thread.

The VTXOA is meeting for a ride in to the Oyster run Sunday morning at the Gas station at the East entrance to the town of Conway. Just off the Freeway to the west. Departure time is 8 am. So be there early and ready to go.

The idea is to get into Anacortes before the main crowd and find a group parking spot on Main Street.

Yes eagle, I plan on swinging through the parking lot of the Smokey Pt. Cycle Barn and picking up any riders that want to ride up to the Conway Exit fron there. I will be there at 7:15 am and stop only for 5 min. and then head for the Conway Exit to hook up with Tony and the rest. I (WE) should be there right around 7:45 am??... :D :D :D Ed&Leslie

How many are meeting at the Cycle Barn in smokey point? We have never been to the Oyster run before, been thinking it would be fun to fallow some others. Just never ridden in a group before.

Welcome Monica, You should make it to the BBQ on saturday and meet some that are going to the Oyster Run. Either way you should ride in with the group on sunday, it's always an easy ride with this group and you'll have fun, all great guys and gals. I'm planning on making the BBQ but not sure about sunday....Bob

Jean and I are planning on making the BBQ, staying in Mt. Vernon on Saturday nite, and will meet everybody at the Conway exit. Sounds like it's going to be quite a few bikes - and a lot of fun.

Thanks for the welcome. Well on Saturday is our daughters first football game. she broke her pinky the day before practice started and had to have pins put in. She was finally able to get back to football so saturday is her first game. I wasnt sure if she was going to get to play but her coach says they need blockers so he plans on letting her play. Now I just hope and pray she doesn't go over the weight limit. So anyway, have that to do.
My husband got home tonight after hunting with his brother over in Spokane, didn't tell me he was on his way home til he knocked on the door. Anyway I talked to him and I think we are planning on meeting at the smokey point cycle barn. Now I haven't had the chance to ride in a big group so hopefully I will do ok with that.

I told my husband it was a VTX group so he said he didn't belong with us. LOL he has a goldwing.
So we plan to be there unless some friends of ours call and want to ride together. I think they will be going over to the coast first then riding over and will meet up with them later during the day. My youngest is really excited about going. We plan to bring our girls along.
I have been reading about riding in groups and thats about all.

Welcome aboard shuterbg; We are happy that you and your husband will join in on the excitement! We have a few Goldwing riders that join us from time to time and that is more than fine... We have a harley rider and a Victory join us too... There is no problem with us... The group riding is no problem and probably safer in the long run? Everyone can see a group of two-wheelers and we don't sneak up on anyone!!! We ride the speed limit and like Jon said we will quickly cover a few road rules!!! PLEASE join us and stop by the BBQ after your daughters game? :lol: Ed&Leslie

Hi all! I've got a room in Mt. Vernon for both Saturday and Sunday eve's. I plan on the BBQ meet and will join up at Conway for the ride in.
Seems to me this is shaping up to be as good or better than Mardon!

Our daughter is being a little stinker. tomorrow is the last straw and if there are any problems from her she is done with football after spending all that money. gggggggggrrrrrrrrrr

There is a chance I may ride out of Anacortes to meet you guys at Conway. But it not I am going to park my bike on the West side of the Street early Sunday morning. Heck may be Saturday Night.

In any case if I am not with you on the ride in look for the Red NWBikers.com X bike. If there is room park by it. Other wise keep you eye open for me.

I will be on the street if not with you so I may be able to get you on camera.
