All,
I am currently the LA State Coordinator, but might be moving to TN. The company I seeking a position that will place me in the Oak Ridge area. Where should I look to buy/rent a house? Any info would be much appreciated.

Welcome, the area you are headed for is kind of in the middle of the Knoxville, Blount County, Loudon County, Clinton, Roan County. Lots of options to Oak Ridge area from all of the above. Can be in down town Oak Ridge in 20 to 45 minute drive from any of these areas. Roan County property is a little less expensive, then probably Loudon County. Blount County is where I live and property has shot thru the roof in the last couple of years. Hope this helps some.

Thanks. I am waiting on the offer right now. I will let everyone know when I come over that way. Should I be looking for a place with a garage since it snows?

I grew up in Chattanooga and went to school in Knoxville, I don't think I'd say "it snows" as that area may average 1-3 inches a year! I'd do the garage though for other reasons, but that's just my persoanl preference. By the way, you'll love the roads around there and those very nearby!! JMHO. Hope it all works out for you.

You definitely want a garage. One, it can snow a lot, as much as 12 inches or more. Two, the hail storms can also get bad in the spring.
Born there (East) and lived there (Middle and East) for 35+ years. Wish the hell I could get back. Dude, you're gonna love it!
