Although I no longer live in W.V. anymore- (was born and lived early years in Fairmont)- I recently had the pleasure of revisiting my heartfelt homeland and reconnected with my roots and memories there. I wanted to take this oportunity to just say "hello and thank you" to all the great people in W.V. that make it such a wonderful place to live and visit. The land itself and the people who call it home are the 2 halfs that make W.V. the "Almost Heaven" state. I know you all here get to enjoy the sights and sounds of W.V. everyday but I still would like to invite you to take a look at my recent visit back there at this thread: http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=167583

GO MOUNTAINEERS!

Hello joliveto... ah, that'd be west side of Fairmont... actually Monongah. My Grandparent's lived in Carolina- grandpappy was a coal miner there and at other mines in the area. We used to love to go over to the little diner (can't recall the name now) on the corner of Washington and Madison sts. there at the bridge and feast on those "World Famous" chilli dogs... delicious!
