Welcome, Lot of rides go threw and around Gainesville. We'll have to meet up with you for a ride. What bike do you have(not that it makes a differance) You should put it in your signature so that if you have any questions about your bike, at least we'll know what you're riding.

Im gonna give this a shot....yes, I have seen the ride posted for this weekend. Thank you to those of you that have invited me out and welcomed me. Someone made mention of my bike....does it matter that i dont own a VTX? Acutally, I ride a Harley SuperGlide but joined here simply for friends to ride with......hope this doesnt get me in trouble with any of you. Again, thanks to each of you and look forward to getting to know you!

Just curious.Cantb2cute, What made you come on a Honda VTX board? There has to be a ton of harley boards on the internet. Where did you buy your ride at? Did you get a good price? Only asking cause my buddy just bought one and he said he got a deal. Hope to ride with you soon.

Bullhead Ed, in response to your questions, I know of some people on another biker site that are members on this site as well and they are fond of it. I hope my being here doesnt offend you. I bought my bike 4 yrs ago in Peachtree city from a police officer. I feel at the time I got a good price on it. I am currently in the market for a Road King and hope I get a good deal on that as well *wink* Thank you for your interest and I hope I passed the test :) Be Safe and Keep the rubber down

Seems you’ve come along just when I was thinking we need a few cute solo female riders to ride and carouse around with us. Just one would be a good start for us around Atlanta here. GAgirlTrixie is our cute Savannah solo rider. Naw, It doesn’t matter to me that you ride a Harley. Just as long as you bring along your own bag of tools. ….. All my tools are metric and wouldn’t fit your bike, of coarse. I'm not even sure they fit my bike... never had to use them... mine's a Honda, you know. :wink:

PS. I’m not meaning to start anything but just had to kid you a bit.

PSS. I like Harleys…. but don’t tell anyone here I said that. :)

Ed, just so we can put this to rest, I am very much a female and sorry that I perhaps may not have given any indication of that. I dont want lottery numbers, I dont need my bike fixed, I am only here for friends. I like to ride and am not above riding with anyone or any type of bike. I was able to ride yesterday for about 4 hours. I'm still freezing.

Sorry I missed Sundays ride but I slept in thinking it was going to be very wet. When is the next outing?

It's hard for me to get to Atlanta for the Vortex on Thursdays to meet everyone during the week my (bedtime) :lol: is around 9:00pm, you see I have to get up at 2:00am to goto work.....Fun..Fun. So maybe someone will arrange a ride soon that I can make and will get to meet you all.

Sounds good. Im always up for a ride but I hate the cold so I have a 60 degree rule :) however, I think I am soon going to begin training on how to dress/ride in colder weather and am going to give this thing a shot. Seems I may have a personal trainer heheh I am going to stick to my guns about the rain though..........or not LOL

I know what ya mean, cantb... I had my rules on rain, but then, over the Labor Day ride up at Deals Gap, we all got soaked!!! (even with gear!!) I've come to realize that I can ride in the rain, but still not like it!! I rode up on the mountains this past weekend, and nearly froze my hands off. I will adjust to riding in the cold, but I need to find something to keep my hands warmer on the handlebars, but not be too think to control the levers....

Well, Cantb2cute, welcome to the board as we can always use new additions to this ragtag bunch of misfits!!!

I live in Peachtree City and was just curious, where do you live as your destination just says Georgia!!!

If you are in this area you can ride with several of us in this area who are trying to organize rides because we are so envious of those guys/dolls who live in the Gainesville area or North Atlanta area!!! They have it made. Always riding to Dahlonega or Helen or Franklin or Highlands or Wayah Bald road.

Well if we get some riders from down here we can ride up there and meet them but we have to do it early.

If I plan something and it goes good, I would be great BUT if I plan a ride and things go bad.......my name is mud.
