Hi my name is Alan Smith, Aka Smithy. I just sold my Yamaha Dragster Silverado and was surprised to find the lack of clubs in the UK for Honda, the Yamaha VSOC has lots of member in the United Kingdom and Europe all within an affiliated network. Honda have very little, there is this excellent site hosted in the good old USA, a club for shadow owners in England but not a lot for VTX owners and riders. I have started a group on MSN called Honda VTX, its not a proper club as such yet but its an attempt at starting one, if we can get a few more members we can open a proper website, hopefully affiliated to this site, we would provide links of interest to owners in the UK, arrange events and possibly organise a rally. it would be nice to help fellow USA riders by offering accommodation and making them welcome to our Country. :?: :idea:
if you are interested, please visit the site and join, or perhaps you would be interested in becoming a manager, although I am starting the group if anyone can do a better job or has more experience then it would be in the clubs interest if they did it. I would like it to run on a democratic basis with managers being voted in or out, that includes me. anyway, have a look, let me know what you think, all are welcome to join wherever you come from, USA, UK or Europe although we will primarily be dealing with the United Kingdom.
