Is there any interest in planning a long ride for next Summer. I would love to ride out to Yellow Stone or somewhere in that area. The Gold Wing bunch out there has a ride planned for July, nothing says we could not put our own tour together. Mike I know you are ready, anybody else up to it? ic

That would be awesome. Even someplace in Colorado or New Mexico would be great. I think I will need a new seat first, though.

Got the seat, got the risers. When do we leave?

Maybe my cables will be here by next summer so I can install my risers before the trip. Also, if anyone knows of a good way I can make some extra money to buy an Ultimate Lowrider seat, let me know. I paid less money for my sofa and love seat, but they won't fit on my X.

Great to hear from you, Steve.
Well, I'd like to become one if Motion Pro will cooperate. Then, I just need to win the lottery so I can get a seat, among other things.
Will you, Paul, and your spousal units join us this weekend? We'd like to see you and your new rides. Are you going to try to make the long trip next summer and demonstrate what riding in comfort is really all about?
Later,
Curt

Irvin mentioned this to me this week.... had not checked the board this week. Sounds like a great idea.
A southern route west out to, Santa Fe, and then up to the "four corners" area (NM, AZ, UT, CO) would be cool. This would take us up near Mesa Verde (cliff dwellings) Ntl Park in SW CO. Northern AZ just to the west holds Flagstaff, Hoover Dam, and Lake Mead. This is also Route 66 country. Crossing Hoover Dam, Vegas is about 60 miles further to the NW.
Just NE of Vegas, heading back to the east, you get into some great national parks in southern Utah, as well as access to the northern rim of the Grand Canyon.

Riding back east would lead through Colorado, and all the wonderful sights there... Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Rocky Mtn National Park, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Denver. Heres state by state National Park link:

Maybe this will get us thinking! Where does eveyone want to go?

I get 5 weeks vacation, maybe we can work it out.
We talked yesterday about a trip to Daytona for Bike Week.
It runs March 2-11 2007
We don't need to get there before Sunday if we are going to take demo rides. Last year we got there Friday and could not ride anything Saturday but the Boss Hoss. I think the demo rides start Sunday or Monday, ya'll help me find out when.
The plan so far is to leave here Saturday early monring.
Ride to Pensacola- go to Naval Air Museum- ride to Crestview, Fl
Sunday ride to Daytona-
Monday in Daytona
Tuesday back to Pensacola
Wednesday ride home
Help me with the schedule and any neat things to do. ic

Will your spousal unit ride with you? Will your Yamamama make it that far? Will your tires hold enough air to get you there and back?

I got a room in Daytona for Sunday and Monday nights. My room is at the Hampton Inn at the Speedway. I talked with a friend that is from Niceville, FL this afternoon. He says they will ride with us atleast part of the way.
They want to come up in the next couple weeks to ride the Trace. I told him about Old Port Gibson road and suggested they ride it part of the way to Natchez. Will let you know when they plan to come. ic

Curt,Curt,Curt...
Why should I take my spousal unit to Daytona, when there are so many "biker chicks" there already??? http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j271/CHROMEADDICTION/2babes.jpg
Shhhhhhhh... http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j271/CHROMEADDICTION/shhh.jpg:beer2: :pepper1: :beer3: :eat2: :a13:
And as far as my Yami-haul, I've mounted a spare tire on the back. ( You remember how it was "back in the day" don't ya!) :lol:http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j271/CHROMEADDICTION/SpareTireCarrier.jpg
By the way... here is a picture of my spousal unit. :crew:
The girl on the scoot is my future "Biker Chick"

Actually, I don't remember that. I'm not THAT old. :D
Your spousal unit is gonna be SOOOOO mad at you. :badabing:  I'm just gonna sit back and watch while she beats YOU up. She won't even remember being mad at me for referring to her as your "spousal unit."
