Just wanted to introduce myself. Just joined up today. I have a 2002 1800C (i'm guessing you know that already.....lol). It's got V&H pipes and a little more chrome here and there, but not much else. Looking forward to adding some more goodies, which is how I stumbled across this site. GREAT SITE by the way. I have already answered most of my questions browsing through the forum here. I owned an 86 VT700C for 4 years (it was my first bike). At 6'2" tall and 260 pounds I looked like a Shriner in a christmas parade riding that thing. Finally I had the means to upgrade to the X, boy what a difference. My stand is that the X is the first motorcycle I ever owned, that Shadow was a toy in comparison. Although it too was a great bike, just not for my size.
I just recently moved to the Myrtle Beach area from Charlotte, NC. Looking forward to the Rallys they have here. I hope to meet up with some of you locals to see what goodies you have, it's a lot easier to shop for what you want when you can see it installed. With the rallys here, hopefully can meet up with some not-so-locals as well! Anyway, I will turn off my "rant switch" now. Looking forward to using the site.

Hey '02 1800C,
Happy to have ya!! Sounds like you have things lined up and figured out!
Got a brother that lives in Mathews, NC. I've roamed around the Charolette area and some of the raceshops while working on body shop equipment, great riding area up there outside the City limits!
Hope to meet up with ya next time I'm in town! I live in Coway, SC not to far inland of M.B.
Ride safe and watch out for the idiots (tourists) in M.B.!!!

Welcome to the VTX Rider message board. You will love it.
I am new to the board as well .I hope this spring alot of us
in North Carolina and South Carolina can get a chance to meet and ride.
The only thing I like better than riding my bike is meeting people
that love motorcycles as much as I do.

Welcome to the board and welcome to Myrtle Beach. I'm a native Charlottean living in Charleston now. Actually, I spent last weekend in Myrtle Beach just to get some miles in during the beautiful weather.
Hwy 17 is a good cruise, especially this time of year. If you ever want to cruise south to Chucktown, let me know. I travel during the week, but I'm back home in Charleston nearly every weekend.

sounds good to me. My family owns a golf cart business on 501 in the Marion area (in between Sparkys fireworks and the Carolina amphitheater) so anytime you want to stop by and BS or meet up for a ride thats where im at on the weekends.

Howdy 06vtxxx!
Pass by your place of bizz all the time! Mainly on Monday mornings (Very early) and most Fridays on the way home in the evenings. Work out of Charolette, NC so I'm on the road all week but the weekends are mine, well as soon as I finish the Honey and Daddy do lists!!!  I live between you and the beach in Conway. I'm sure we'll meet up sometime.
Ride safe!!
