I am buying a 5gb Dell jukebox from a friend this afternoon that will hold alot more songs etc then the small Radio Shack one Ive been using for 5 yrs.
I have alot of music in my computer that was d/l from a music site.
I have a CD audio book of Band of Brothers that I want to put on the dell but when I make a copy of each disk and put it in my computer it will not play.
When you copy your own cds do the tracks need to be converted to MP3 format?
Thanks

You need a program to "rip" the songs from your CDs. I use CDEX. It is free. Here is a link to one of many places that are currently offering a free download of the program:

Thanks for the help.
I did not know Microsoft Media Player had the rip option on it. I used it, it was easy to figure out and worked great.

I use Itunes because I like their AAC format better than MP3 and I can buy certain songs that I like but don't want to buy the CD because it is the only good song on it so I buy & download from their store. There are alot of free ones out there thought but I was loading 180 CDs so I wanted them all to be in AAC so I could transfer them to my 30 Gig IPOD w Video which I use on my bike with my Autocom Super Pro AVI Intercom Ssytem.
