X THNG 240 Update...1/28 Closer to done

Been awhile since I posted about the mods to the bike. Just getting ready to start ordering the parts for the next round of changes. Wheels, front fender, triple trees(maybe), bars and of course paint.

Yeah were still alive. How you two doing?

I went with RC Components Regals, a 21x3.5 front and 18x8.5 rear with Phantom Hub. Bad thing is it's going to be 8-10 weeks before they get here, hopefully.

The Phantom Hub is RCs version of the super hub but doesn't require changing brake parts.

No I don't have any pictures of it. There is one on RC's website, not real good picture though.

Well right now the bike is in pieces. Got the stem bearings changed out, swapped the bars to Massives with internal wiring(major PITA), top clamp has been polished, fenders still need to be fitted but after only 7 weeks the wheels finally showed up. Getting tires mounted this weekend and then on to the finally bit of mocking it up.

I'll bet that was a long seven week wait for your wheels. I looked up some pics of the Regals and man are they sweet! Will you be posting pics of your progress?

Yeah I'll probably post some mock up pics and then some more after paint. Yeah long 7 weeks but I was told 6-8 weeks so can't complain to much.

Well today was another good day. Got the chromed fork lowers from Handler today. After some hammer mods to the swingarm got the 240 mounted up. Put the forks back together with the Progressive front springs, mounted them up and then put the 21" front wheel on. Still got to mount rear fender, front fender and finish up some other little things before going to paint. I tried to get some pics but camera batteries where dead, post some when they get charged.
