I got my Autocom in January directly from the website of their US distributor Top Gear in New York; but I don't know where you could go to get a "deal." If I were you I'd pose this or also pose this question on the GL1800 forum -- those Wingers are really into electronics and a horde of them own Autocoms instead of their ubiquitous J&M's.

I checked with Top Gear because I'm interested too! They are not coming out with new models this year, so no 'end of model year' sell after the begining of the year like they have done in the past. The holiday sale is it! For some Autocom models I have found better deals on Ebay through distributors in Canada. Most of them seem legit!

I have never heard of a CB getting 18 mile range on any bike. If it works that would be great, but I am lucky to get 4 miles with my Midland 522-750. It's hooked up to my Autocom ProM1 on my Concours.

My limitation is the antenna on my Kawi Concours. Not enough metal for a good ground plane so I went with a Firestik NGP antenna.

I just added the Motorola T7400 2-Way Radios to my Autocom Super PRO AVI System and they have a 12 Mile Range (line of sight uninterrupted) and they work GREAT!!!
