Hello everyone,

I got my zumo and i also have an autocom (the advance one). I have not placed them on my bike as of yet. I notice that i can actually play music through my bluetooth listening device from the zumo. Is there a way that i can get a bluetooth device for my helmet that will pair with the zumo and let me talk to my passenger and listen to satillite radio and mp3,or should i just install the autocom and hook the zumo to it for my music and communication needs?

The short answer is "no." Autocom hasn't upgraded their 2006 line yet for Bluetooth and even if you used the Zumo's Bluetooth the music wouldn't even be in stereo. Remember the wireless/Bluetooth is really earmarked for your cell phone and of course the navigation prompts. It will not transmit the XM either.

But not to fear, since you have an Autocom (as I do) there are a couple of work-arounds that will allow you to hear EVERYTHING (XM and MP3 in stereo, and your nav prompts and cell phone in simulated stereo or combined mono). Although this workaround is wired you'd still use the Bluetooth to interface with the Zumo (i.e. the on-screen address book and calling or receiving templates) for hands-free talking.

Plenty more can be learned in the below thread of the new Zumo-specific board that Terry mentions above.
