I have to agree with FCF being the nicest choice, but to be fair to those in horribly flat west TN, we should meet in the middle. Then pick a fun route on the way home.

Sloan's is probably OK with me, not sure which is best being from East TN.
Make sure we update the post on any final changes in place/time/etc.
Its only 3 hours 20 minutes 209 miles via Mapquest.

If others come from East/Northeast TN, let me know, we could ride down/over together.

I don't think I can make the meet & greet in March, but I may try and fit it in. It all depends on the weather (snow?).

But how about June 23 for a date for the summer meet & greet? That's the date of this year's BBQ, otherwise known as Scarecrow's Hoot. My place again with lots of good eatin and great ridin!

For those that missed last year's inagural event, check with RJ, PeeWee, or JS (among others) that made it. I think everyone had a great time.

Besides, it is a great opportunity to meet VTXers from some other states. I know Georgia will be well represented this year! :wink:

Seriously, this wouldn't be a bad choice, then do a early summer (late may early june) M & G on the western end as well. Jackson would be about right...anyone for a 'ride' suggestion there too?

Wife and I rode over to FCF with Tombstone/wife this past Saturday for late lunch. Hwy 30 is probably my favorite route. If you guys ever need help with organizing a "get together" here in Crossville, I'd be glad to help out if I can (travel with work, a lot).

Do they still have the Renegade Ski lodge near you? I can remember skiing there when i was six. My dad bought a round cabin and put it there it went together like a puzzle. Wonder if it is still there?

No sking, but an outstanding golf course when open. The property has been bought and sold many times since your ski trips. It is tough to make money up there with Golf because of the "fog", dense fog into late in the mornings too many days.
