Anyone in PA sell AMSoil? I know I can PM Chicago-Spike but figured I would look here in the state first. I'm getting ready to do my first oil change on my own and wanted to put synthetic in.

I get mine from C-Spike, order it in the gallon containers. You might also want to consider getting Gear Oil and Fork Oil while you are at it, to save on shipping costs later on.

NavyBlue,

I found the business card for the Amsoil dealer I met at Carlise Bike Fest.

Also, if you do an Internet search, there are a couple of other PA Amsoil dealers listed. One is in Scranton, I think.

I use Mobil MX4T synthetic oil and have had no problems. It's made for motorcycles and I find it at National Auto Parts stores. I also use the Purolator PL 14610 or 612 oil filter, one is a bit longer.

Don't put synthetic in for your first oil change (600 miles) Let the engine break in to about 3,000 or 4,000 miles and then change to synthetic. Changing early may not let your piston rings seat properly. Also don't change gear oil either. Let the factory oil in for several oil changes due to the enormous amount of moly additives in it.
