To avoid any confusion, and to ensure that everyone has enough lead time for planning, I wanted to post the details for this year's VTX BBQ. Since last year's event was so successful and everyone agreed it was a great time, we decided to make it an annula event. So here goes:
The BBQ will be held at my place on the Friday of the Honda Hoot. The date is June 22 this year (2007). The location is the same as last year, 2821 Cherokee Drive in Bean Station, TN. I'll provide maps later.
There will be no "planned" morning ride. The meal will begin at 11 AM. The price for the BBQ will be approximately $15, to cover the costs of catering, which will again be by Buddy's BBQ.
There will be a single afternoon ride to Cumberland Gap starting around 2 PM. The ride will take between 4 and 5 hours, depending on the stop-over time in Cumberland Gap. A ride map is prepared and will be sent out before the event. Dinner can be at any of several area places that offer "All-you-can eat" fish (Friday), among other things.
If anyone wants to volunteer their "services" for the event, please PM me. As time grows closer, I'll post how to pay for the meal and other information.
I hope to see everyone from last year and lots of new faces this year!
