I'm 13 hours ahead of the eastern US, atleast until the time changes again. Now it's 62 days and a wakeup! :twisted: I'm gonna hold you to the steak and wings!!! I'm also gonna hit the nearest Carolina BBQ place I can find as soon as I hit the states!!! :wink:

The wife has told me to go somewhere more than once but it wasn't China and it was a hell of alot hotter!!! :lol: :lol: Temp last night was minus 9 degrees C. That was without the wind chill!! :shock:

Thanks for the pictures of the Great Wall. Some, are you coming home for good? Is the embassy complete? What kind of work did you do on the embassy? By the way I'm nosey candymanfloyd. So how long have you been in China. And how did you stay warm with -9 degree weather? Peace and God bless.

Hey Candy ManF.,

Most likely will go back overseas for the next Five years, trying to make some money! The Beijing US Embassey will be finished by 2008 for the China Olympics. Basically Consruction work, hired on as laborer, became form carpenter, then heavy equipment operator, then crew lead and now filling in for my foreman as he is back in the states. Might as welll call me a jack of all trades. I've been in China for the past 10 months. Staying warm as best I can, I'm in and out of the warehouse so it is not to bad. I do stay outside for hours at a time running heavy equipment (container stacker, front loader, skytrak, bobcat, fork lifts, ETC.) or rigging for the tower cranes and flying material into the building. I'm on nights so it gets very cold, but I'm getting use to it!

Got 15 days and a wake up! I'll be back in town on the 4th of March. Home time?? It depends on if I resign for China or change jobs, if I resign I'll have 21 days home. A new job who knows. Hope to see you while I'm in town and try out that Philly steak!!
